libilmbase6 software package provides several utility libraries from ILM used by OpenEXR, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libilmbase6
libilmbase6 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libilmbase6 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libilmbase6 *
You will get with libilmbase6 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
